Brief
BROSWARM, a Lithuanian startup developing advanced drone technology for landmine detection, partnered with Black Unicorn PR for support on two funding milestones: an initial $100K round followed by a subsequent €800K raise.
The objective was twofold: to position the startup’s solution as a game-changer in humanitarian demining, and to bring attention to the broader issue of landmines, especially in Ukraine, where contamination has reached historic levels.
Our Approach
We crafted a narrative that balanced urgency with innovation, drawing media attention to both the problem and the potential solution.
Messaging Strategy
- Framed the technology as an urgent response to a humanitarian crisis. Landmines caused over 4,700 casualties in 2022, and Ukraine alone has over 30% of its land potentially contaminated .
- We presented BROSWARM’s drones as a practical and scalable solution, combining sensor fusion with AI for accurate, remote detection.
Media Targeting
- Focused outreach on European startup media, regional tech publications from the Baltics and CEE, and defence-focused outlets.
- Highlighted the role of BROSWARM’s Lithuanian roots and its proximity to the Ukrainian crisis.
